Her journey started in an industry that is not widely accepted. From the struggles to choose a career path, especially after just finishing high school, to taking the bold step after a reduction in force in her employment, she never wavered in her drive to make a positive difference in people’s lives. She attended the local community college in Portsmouth, VA from where she proceeded to Averett University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Dana K. Bassett also holds a Masters’ degree in Secondary Education from University of Phoenix earning her credentials to teach Business for secondary education through grades twelve as well as a Masters' degree in Psychology - Life Coaching.
She started her professional career as a Contracts Accounting Representative from where she rose to the position of Accounting Supervisor. Dana proceeded to establish business teams earning her the position of Director in one of her former businesses. A position she held for two years before founding RTGW, LLC (Release The Giant Within, LLC).
Dana K. Bassett never exhaust using her energies to transform the world, well beyond the podium and public appearances, meshing traditional and social media to empower her audiences. Her straight-from-the-heart, passion and high-energy, motivates audiences to step beyond their limitations and into their greatness in many ways. Over the past decade, Dana has expanded her role as a recognized inspiring speaker to Master Trainer, creating the kind of workshop learning experience that got her committed to personal-and-professional development many years earlier.
